Surprisingly decent… on the search for cheap and cheerful Chinese bbq since the one I’m used to has gone downhill… ordered half a duck and half pound of bbq pork. The duck was pretty good and meaty. The bbq pork was good and while it wasn’t as flavourful as other places it’s still not a bad offering if you’re in the area. Wished the guy could cut the meat into smaller sizes as each piece was a sizeable chunk. Went mid-afternoon and seemed like they were already running low
A very well known Chinese BBQ takeout place in Markham. I have been buying from them since 2017. The BBQ items are always fresh and only limited orders are sold everyday, this is the way how they maintain the food quality. Other than the BBQ items, lunch boxes, party trays, they also offer some side dishes like sweet and sour pork, tofu, stir fried vegetables etc..
Got a 3 meat combo, which was a good size for the price of $13 ish dollars. The bbq pork was okay, roast pork and duck were good though. I really enjoyed the flavour of the duck on some bites, but others were a little inconsistent. The roast pork I lucked out with super fatty pieces, which were great and the flavour was good too. My only concern was the dude used his bare hands to grab and cut the meat after handling his phone immediately before. I’m just gonna hope they were both clean, I’ve worked in restaurants before so I know it’s not always what it seems but right infront of my was kinda hectic.
We are the long term customer here, the food was pretty good. However, we came here today to buy roasted pork belly. And that’s what we got in the picture. No belly, the pork is so dry and lean, such rip off . We won’t come back again. This is not how you run your business . Very disappointed!
Very affordable Chinese BBQ located in a food court of a plaza. Often there are long lines here, Tong Ha is definitely the most popular one here. We got the roast duck on thick rice noodles and fried tofu. It came with a soup. The food is flavourful but I would say it's pretty average. Washrooms are absolutely horrible here, it smelled so bad
I purchased a half bbq duck. What I received was bits and pieces of a duck without the leg and thigh. I definitely consider this as theft. I paid for half a duck and received less than what I paid for.
They straight up refused to sell me what I wanted. I drove here for crispy pork (which is available on Uber) but they said they don’t have any. I could order it off of Uber right now if I wanted. Unfortunate because normally it is okay food at a decent price. I’m not sure if it was because I’m black. Literally the only black person there. I could basically see the crispy pork but they wouldn’t sell it to me. Hopefully it was a misunderstanding but I don’t be returning.
