I had a great shopping experience at Sartaj. Ricky, one of the owners, patiently opened folded sarees that were stitched closed so I could see the details and drape. He suggested a range of unique designs, gave honest feedback on what would suit the occasion, and never felt pushy. After I picked my sarees, he walked me over to their sister shop to choose matching blouse fabric and trims, making sure everything came together. It was thoughtful, unhurried service—something you don’t see often—and I’ll gladly shop there again.
Terrible customer service here. The guests purchasing were much kinder and more welcoming than the staff. Don’t bother to come in, they will assume you are low budget and they don’t want to “waste their time on you”. They don’t care unless you’re FOR SURE purchasing in that moment. When you treat people like they are worth your time, it leaves a positive impression and they’ll recommend you to others, and come back for their larger events. I could have purchased my bridal outfit here in the future, but it left such a horrible impression that I would not want to.

Thank you to the staff here at Sartaj Fashions who were patient, friendly and courteous while we took some time to decide which outfit to purchase. We bought a beautiful sharara and thanks to Aman & Gurmeet for their time in helping us to decide. Aman also took care of the alteration to make the outfit fit properly. This place has an excellent collection and lots of choices available, budget friendly too! You must visit and you will surely return to shop more! We had a positive experience and will certainly be back to shop here again.
I've been to many south asian fabric places in Scarborough Markham area, but I found Sartaj Fashions to have the best variety by far, with unique, yet elegant and stylish wedding/ party attires, vast variety of modern or basic fabric, laces & jewellery. And customer service is always so welcoming, always so pleasant. The staff here finds the best solution for all my fabric matching needs. This store is my top recommendation to all!!!
Ricky was amazing, I stopped by and he helped me find my dream wedding dress and find all the extra details to make it absolutely perfect! Would 10/10 recommend. He was such a Godsend since I was in a bit of a time crunch and had a very specific vision!
