I’m sure they train dogs well but they need to train people better. While stuck in traffic on Kingston I’ve now seen them take the dogs out on multiple occasions and not pick up the dog poo. Just leaving it on that strip of grass which is someone else’s property. Very unprofessional
Great place for obedience training and protection training. The staff is amazing, polite and super nice to deal with. Rob (Owner) has extensive knowledge in dog training, Abby his assistant is very helpful she explains the training in details for the dog owners. I found Rob after numerous trainers failed to help with my reactive Malinois, Athos. One well publicized on YouTube training facility outside Toronto made the problem worse and I was just about at my wits end and was considering finding a new home for him. Rob's approach was tailored to Athos' issues and gentle temperament. We focused both on Athos and my handling skills and I saw improvements quickly. Athos is a more confident dog and I'm a more confident handler. We're not finished yet but I see progress every week. I had tears last week when Athos worked through his fears in front of us and was able to restrain himself on his own! We're not done yet, but I feel confident I will be able to walk him off leash at some point in the future. That's a bold claim for a dog that would try to attack anything that moved 6 months ago. Rob's understands dogs and reads them very well. This allows him to really help both handler and dog. He lives for and loves dogs. I credit Rob and Progressive K9 for giving Athos the ability to have a happy life with me.
Our vet recommended Progressive K9 to help with our very large (150lb) mix Arthur. Our experience with Rob was amazing and we recommend him to absolutely everyone. Arthur is a sweet dog but had real co-dependence issues and was so shy around people that vet visits were nearly impossible. After working with Rob, Arthur is much more confident and we now know how to help him through stressful situations. Rob is incredibly knowledgable and patient, he gave us practical advice and tools we could use right away and set us up for success after our training with him was over. When we asked for recommendations he helped us find a dog walker and a groomer who could work with big dogs - he even called ahead to make sure they knew about Arthur's specific quirks. We cannot recommend Progressive K9 enough!
