Got harassed at the store for looking for an item to purchase by an employee that said she was the manager there.. attitude was very poor. She told the other employees not to help me so I couldn't cash out.. if this is the way the store is being managed never coming to buy anything again I hope nobody get treated like this... Very sad
They got more variety of items for cheaper prices. Not bad marketing when every other dollar shop brands are coming up in the country with different prices and good old days with cheap price is just a hope. Parking is okay. Lot of other businesses in the plaza. This shop if you need any help it is impossible. It's my first time and yet to find the quality of items in the next few days and weeks.
I was racial profiled at this store today and this came to me as a rude shock . I entered this store to get glass cleaner for my daughter , we do always get this at the Optometry store but she need one urgently . Immediately I entered the store, the cashier assistant run towards me and ask me to drop my bag at the front . I was shocked and could not believe what she said . I asked her again why do i have to do that she said its the new rule from management and i told her i am not dropping my bag and i will be picking the glass cleaner . As soon as i walk towards the register to pay for the items and she cash me out , a lady with hijab was walking towards us with her bag and so many items to pay and she was inside the store before me and i ask the cashier why is she having her own bag with other items and her own bag was larger than mine . She was just saying things that does not make sense . The bag i have is my normal handbag i used daily and her bag is even larger than mine.I was so sad and i told her is it because i am black or your management told you if all black people come in to the store you have been told to walk towards them and ask them to drop their bags . Why didn't she tell the other lady that is not BLACK to drop her bag. I told my 22 years old daughter she felt so sad and unhappy . RACIAL DISCRIMINATION IS REAL AND I COULD NOT BELIEVE I WILL EXPERIENCE THIS IN A LOCAL STORE . PLEASE STOP RACIAL PROFILING BLACK PEOPLE .PLS STOP IT!!!!
i like the variety of items this store has, but a lot of the items are dusty and unclean. when it was my turn to pay, the cashier left the counter and they ended up cashing the person behind me first. in my last visit, i did not receive a good customer service from the young cashier. i wasn't been greeted before and after, nor asked if i needed a bag nor receipt.
The store was spotless , very well stocked and the staff were the nicest, most helpful staff I've ever met. I would definitely go back there again. Loved it.
I have to admit, it's treasure hunting here. I found a 10 piece paint brush set for $7 dollars lol. I usually get my keys cut here as they're one of the cheapest in Scarborough. Sometimes you'll find national brand stuff here, I guess it depends on the wholesalers they get. The staff is pretty quick and chill (especially when some keys need to be fixed). I think they're a local business so that makes me even more inclined to shop there over Dollarama!
Price 0 star Customer service 0 star I understand why hand sanitizer is $20 dollars but what about ballons why r u guys selling one packet of baloons for $3.99 when same ballons packet is $1 or $1.25 at other dollar store. And also the price for other party stuff is double or triple at this smart dollar. Taking advantage of this situation.
