A very professional experience. The sales team (thank you Edward) made sure every question was addressed. We had other businesses tell us our vision was not possible and Classic Fireplace confidently said it was. We did not have to compromise. Installation team was very respectful of our home.
UPDATE: Spoke to Jay about the service and please he heard me out. He was genuinely concerned what happened and took the time to listen. There was no pressure to change my opinion but did ask to visit again and give them another another opportunity. You don't get that kind of response often. Changing review to 3. ------------------------- This place has a great selection of BBQs and gas fireplaces. When I have went over the years, always find the sales friendly. They installed our fireplace little after the big ice storm. Also, bought a Napoleon gas BBQ from this store. I even have an eye on a green egg as my next purchase. Although friendly, the sales are slow to help when things break. It is unfortunate. When we had a recent issue with our fireplace and I had to eventually go somewhere else. We were told the remote system for the fireplace do not break (i.e. they never heard of this happening). After doing the suggested change of batteries etc., I was able to ascertain it was the receiver (seen in picture). I asked if they had the part or could order it twice. No followup or motion to order it for us. A bit disappointed - we eventually ordered one online ourselves. I would have rather support Classic Fireplaces as they are a local business and pleased with our past purchases. Hopefully the followup service will change in the future.
We are so happy with the product and service we received from Classic Fireplace and BBQ’s. We were in the market to purchase a new BBQ and Bruce helped us pick the right Napoleon for us. The BBQ was not in stock at the time, but Bruce was able to give us a rough ETA on when it would be back in stock. (And much to my surprise, his estimate was bang on.) Delivery and setup was booked, and the amazing customer service continued. The delivery team was kind, fast, and knowledgeable. They went the extra step to switch out the components that I had upgraded, and packaged up the components that we would not be using neatly in boxes. They gave a great demonstration on how the BBQ works and what features it has. Would recommend Classic Fireplace and BBQs to anyone on the look out for a BBQ and the delivery and setup fee is well worth the cost.
Purchased a simple small item... Big Green Egg "Grid Gripper". Got home, unpackaged it and it was defective. Returned to the store on the same afternoon and the sales representative was insistent that it was working when he sold it to me. My fault as the customer for not checking the mechanics of the product before leaving the store. I'm the customer. I'm in the wrong. He wouldn't exchange it. My money lost. Way better quality products and way better service at the Walmart that is 5 minutes drive away.
I recommend Classic Fireplace Scarborough to anyone. Ask for Edward. He is very knowledgeable, patient, and friendly. I feel good about ordering my Napoleon Prestige Pro500 RSIB BBQ from Edward. Is is refreshing to deal with a gentleman. Keep up the good work!!!
