extremely slow & careless. We (parents) finished our portion and they still did not bring the kids’ meal. Until we asked for it, then they said they don’t have (sold out)
I had a very disappointing experience at this location today. My partner and I waited at the entrance for quite a while, but no one came to greet us. Since no staff acknowledged us, we sat on the sofa near the front and continued waiting — still, no one noticed us at all. What made it even worse was that a couple who arrived after us were greeted and seated immediately while they were still standing at the entrance. We followed them in and sat down, hoping someone would finally come over, but again we were completely ignored. No menus, no greeting, not even basic eye contact. Several staff members walked past us multiple times as if we were invisible. The entire experience felt disrespectful and unprofessional. Really disappointed, and I hope the restaurant improves its service, because right now it’s far below acceptable.
The ramen tastes really good. It might be a bit too salty, but it is pretty close to what you can get in Japan. Their fried chicken tastes fabulous as well. Love it.
We had a lunch at Sansotei Ramen in Scarborough Town Centre, and it was totally worth the visit! The ramen was incredibly tasty—flavourful broth, tender pork, and noodles done just right. What really made our day was the kids eat free offer—such a nice bonus for families! The place was clean and comfortable, and the vibe was relaxed, even during the lunch rush. The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed without feeling rushed.
Food was great. My tonkotsu was tasty and filling. Portion is right. Worker was super nice and smiling. A nice waiting area for take out orders. Would go again! Recommend!
Pleasantly surprised. The portion, deals, and everything else are actually on point here! The black miso and tonkotsu ramen had a lot of meat, noodles and flavour. Extra noodles for $2 is a deal. Mochi at $3 for 2 is nice too for kids, or free with two noodles and drinks. Had utensils for kids too! We've not eaten here for years we've been at STC, and kinda missed out.
One of my FAVOURITE locations for Sansotei Ramen as a franchise. Not only is it at STC which is super convenient for me, I find that the ramen here is made wonderfully. I always get the Tonkotsu Black ramen with thin noodles and an extra egg(it's very well marinated) and I personally think that it was truly made with effort and care. Broth is flavourful, and the thing about black garlic broth is sometimes the garlic are tiny particles that can get stuck onto your teeth, but the one used for this ramen in this location is very thin, almost oil like which makes less of a clean up hassle afterwards which is obviously a big plus for me. Otherwise, ramen is great, well proportioned and amazing price as always. The setting/atmosphere of the location is chic and relaxing, seating isn't an issue(for me at least) especially during opening hours and lunch ish. I'd say it gets busy around dinner during weekends, but honestly there are a ton of comfy places to sit at along with a bar as well. Staff are very welcoming and kind, greeting us with smiles and giving prompt service. If you haven't tried Sansotei Ramen, give it a try! And if you have, this specific location is in my opinion, the best.
