I tried their fresh Afghan bread today — it’s amazing! They just got a new professional oven, and the bread tastes so soft and delicious. You can really feel it’s freshly baked halal bread. The whole store smells wonderful, and the staff are very friendly. If you’re looking for Afghan groceries in Scarborough or authentic Afghan bakery in Toronto, definitely stop by and try it yourself.
Stopped by Al Mumtaz Super Market. The store needs improvement in cleanliness — I noticed a lot of fruit flies. The samosas I bought were not fully cooked, and prices felt high for the quality. Hopefully, they work on these issues.
Worst and dirty place i have ever been also its one the most disgusting place i have ever seen in Toronto. I recommend not to get to this place waiting time they saying 10 minutes its actually one hour!!! Disgusting.
OMG! I don’t know where to start. This was the best afghani store in the world. I tried the bread and it was so good best naan I’ve ever had. I tried the bolani as well and there both so good. Also the owner is ver nice and welcoming. Great customer service and everyone is so nice. If anyone is thinking to go you should definitely try the naan and bolani. They have a new sheer yach and it is amazing. Definitely a hidden gem it was so good HAVE TO TRY IT
I usually prefer not to leave negative reviews for Afghan businesses because I truly want to support them. However, I believe it’s important to mention when something needs improvement, especially when it comes to hygiene. We recently got sheer yakh from here and unfortunately found hair in two of them. I really hope the team can take better care with cleanliness moving forward. These things matter a lot and can impact customer trust. Wishing you the best and hoping to see improvements.
DO NOT TRY SHERYAKH (AFGHAN STYLE ICECREM) HERE THEY GIVE YOU REGULAR ICE CREAM FROM BOX AND DECORATE IT, NO SHERYAKH TASTE AND 4.99 FOR ONE SCOOP. WILL NEVER GO TO THIS SHOP FOR FAKE SHERYAKH AGAIN.
Best service and best food all the worker are super good it’s been few years I visit this place never had complain .usally I buy bolani and naan from bakery people are the best and best service.best bolani in town.
