My daughter started swimming at 10 weeks old. We have always had the same teacher who is so lovely, patient and amazing with the babies. We both look forward to it ever week. The facility is nice and the pool is warm. I wish the change rooms were a little warmer. They are fine before the lesson but feel a little chilly after.
We just joined Water Babies and our child had a wonderful time in class! Great instructors, lots of fun in the water! Their staff was quick to respond to emails/calls making me feel like a valued member of the swim team.
Lessons are very good but the administration is not and the facilities are dirty. Floor mats look like they haven’t been washed since I started with my son over 3 years ago. I recently called in to cancel lessons because my son was not going to be attending preschool in January and was going to be home with me until starting school. It was beginning of December when I called and it was shortly after the school telling me he wasn’t going to be able to attend in January due to reduction in their staffing caused by ineligibility for certain government funding since they were not part of the subsidized program. I called water babies the next day to explain the situation… they got back to me and want to charge me for a full months lessons even though I made it clear I would not have been able to attend. I would’ve liked to join again in March however, their inability to reasonably accommodate something beyond my control and clutch onto a months worth of classes is just poor customer service and I will be seriously thinking about whether or not I will send my current and any future children to their programming anymore, I find their lessons very good, the instructor Hailey is fantastic and I really enjoy. However, it is more the principle that they don’t want to do the right thing in this situation. To me, showing goodwill towards customers is important and by not doing so why should I continue to support them with my business and countless referrals. Editing to add that after my call with them, they then charged me another $180 on December 9th after charging me $108 on December 1st. I assume it is them taking advanced payment for January’s lessons which I told them I would not be able to attend and insist that I pay for anyways and I would be credited on my account for 8 lessons that I’ve paid for and was not able to go to due to this situation. They did not have my authorization to take this payment in December, it should have been taken in January at the normal time. Very poor response on their part. They also had called me to reiterate the entire conversation of them not being able to do anything for me and actually asked me to update my review.., so here I am updating to fill in others on their poor response and authorized payment taken from my card. I was told I would be credited for the class that was cancelled 5 minutes before the start of it in the January payment.. looks like that was charged to me anyways and they charged it in December. I stand by my 1 star rating and I would drop it down to 0 after seeing what they did with my payment information.very, very poor handling.
