I ordered the General Thai Mango from Thai Express yesterday and was really disappointed. The taste was just average, and the chicken had a very thick coating with very little actual protein inside. For a dish that costs over $20, getting such a small amount of chicken is not acceptable. I expected much better quality for the price. Not worth the money.

I had the Thai soup at Thai Express in Scarborough Town Centre, and it was fantastic! The broth was flavorful, with the perfect balance of spice and richness. Not wheelchair friendly unfortunately can't reach majority of the space thus they either hand to lean way over to give you your order or you have to wait at the order section for them to pass it through to you, which though not a big issue when there are multiple customers in line they don't seem to care n will call your order out n regardless of you saying here n raising your hand they will ignore you until someone (another customer is kind enough to point down at you to them = service fail on way to many levels).
Yes, every Thai express is different. However at this location, I find when you order the General Thai, it comes in a bigger container. Food is always good. I stick to what I know.
I agree there are differences in taste and quality from an individual outlet or within a food court of the same chain. But this location definitely needs to reconsider their chef and staff. I ordered a Red and Green Curry (Chicken/Beef) Rice and was disappointed to see such a minimum quantities of gravy poured and meat/veggie poured over a charge chunk of plain white rice. And this was not even during the busy hours where staff is managing multiple orders. Paying $10+ for an item such as this is not expected from a chain like Thai Express.
