One of my favourite TCG stores! I LOVE this store. The slabs and the higher end raws in the display cases are always so gorgeous, and this is THE place to be looking through binders! This store has some of the best binder singles I’ve ever seen and they are all organized very well. Always such a fun time here, coming in with no expectations and leaving every time spending $75 - $100+ on tons of good singles that will have me spending the rest of my day re organizing my binders. Staff here are always very friendly and welcoming! Also I pulled the Gengar from our first Gem Pack 3 box that my fiance pre ordered for us from here!
The best store in the GTA! the staff is amazing wonderful to talk to, not only that but great with helping you with your selections and also a trusted place to get your cards graded as I’ve done in the past. And if you’re lucky to meet the owner, you will be pleasantly surprised at wholesome and amazing of an owner he is.
This place doesn't give away booster packs after pre release tournament matches unlike gameshack. It used to run free ygo tournament but now you have to pay to get in. This tells that this place is very stenchy. Not only that, staff members there are hypocrites. They play songs in store we can not understand the language and if I requested it to change it, they said it has to be "non offensive and PG rated". Like, how do we know the songs your playing are inappropriate if we just can't acknowledge what they singing.
Went here today for the first time and had a great experience. It was inexspensive and the two gentlemen working there were very helpful and knowledgeable and really polite and understanding. Plan on going back time and time again.
Pros: Accessible location, lots of stock and variety of products, convenient selling/trade-in process Probably won't come back to Sunny Hobbies due to the level of service and business practices. Bought a fairly popular single online, went to the store a couple days later and they said it was sold to someone else. While they were apologetic, saying it was an inventory error, they offered an EMT refund or store credit rather than honoring the original price of the card, which has subsequently gone up about 20% in the last two months. In general, they seem disorganized in a way that while I will give the benefit of the doubt as not being deliberately dishonest, feels off in a bait-and-switch kind of way and unprofessional. For example, some of their Funko pops are discounted for $5 but it's not clear which ones as they are not separated clearly because upon going to the cash, we were told it was actually $30. Also submitted some cards on their buylist. When I got to the store, I waited at the cash and was ignored and treated a bit coldly until I spoke up and the staff member realized I was actually there to trade in cards. Another person was on Discord the entire time. Not everyone is like this, it's hit or miss. The girl who works there is nice.
I got back into Pokémon at the beginning of 2024 because my coworker gifted me a PSA graded card. I originally went to Dolly’s because it was the only card store I knew of at the time. I had so many questions and was so excited to get started. When I showed up their customer service was so bad.. Shortly after I found Sunny’s and I have been going weekly ever since!! The entire staff is so friendly, they taught me everything I needed to know. They provided an environment that actually gets you excited to go even when you aren’t buying anything?. These guys treated me like family from the start. I went by myself but now in January but now I bring my friends and will always support this shop and the team!! Also yesterday I went in and got a God pack from 151 shout out Gavin for the random pack pick.
I’ve never seen so many cards collections. The prices are good and the service quality is excellent. It’s a perfect place if you wanna get some cards and relax!
