Everyone, please be aware and avoid Al Baaqi Super market. Last night, we bought cow brain, but instead of giving what we paid for, they tricked us and gave lamb brain. Today, when we defrosted it, we realized it was actually lamb brain. I don’t think it was a mistake. They did it deliberately.
They have pretty much every Bangladeshi grocery you could ask for. They also have frozen goods such as Hilsha Fish, Rui, Chapla, Telapiya, kachki etc. One of the biggest Bengali Store near Kennedy area. That’s why I don’t need to go to the Danforth or Victoria Park area.
I visited Al Baaqi Supermarket a few days ago and had a very unpleasant experience. The cashier on duty was extremely rude and unprofessional. He spoke in a disrespectful tone and showed no regard for basic customer service. As a customer, I expect to be treated with courtesy, but unfortunately, that was not the case here. I hope the management at Al Baaqi takes this feedback seriously and works on training their staff in proper customer interaction.
I had very bad experience in Al Baaqi Supermarket. The cashier was very rude. He doesn’t know how to behave with others. I will always avoid Al Baaqi Supermarket.
Owner is wonderful and very hospitable. A large variety of deshi groceries, could be better arranged, but lots of room to move around. Would also like to see improved lighting.
a lot of things are expired, and the meat is absolutely disgusting. Got chicken and it was rotten and smelled horrible, this place should be reevaluated for healthy and safety.
Opening 6 month price was lower, compare to others but now higher price for everything. Still shopping their cause of good manner and customer service.
