I’ve read some of the reviews before I called Frank. He’s very upfront on the phone. I dropped off a series of marantz 170dc, 3250b, 2100, 5010b. Met Frank first time in person. Small 2 Man shop. Also met Dave. Good guy. Frank is 82. Been in business for 48 years. $20 for him to diagnose the issue and he called me next day as promised to let me know the cost of repair. Cost of repairs very reasonable. Turn around time was very quick. Very happy with Frank’s work. I came back and brought in Sony 4 Channel decoder, as Sony scope, marantz 2110 tuner w scope; Frank repaired the scope and added a missing button. Again, quick and reasonably priced. Those that mocked Frank for being a senior, you need to pray before you go to bed and hope that you can live as long as he has and your mind still as sharp as his. Stay humble.
Electronic Service Depot Frank attempted to take full advantage of me because I'm a senior? $200 for a service call that he can literally walk over across to my place which I don't mind paying for but he also said there would be more cost for any repairs done without even looking at it he quoted me $400 to $500. Very very rude on the phone and on top of that at the end of the call he just hung up. I do not think Frank is the people's person and the customer service is totally deplorable one of the worst I've seen. Called many places up but this is far one of the worst if I can give a minus 0 I would. I do not recommend Frank of electronic service Depot for any of your services. To all seniors and consumers be aware of the hidden costs with his guy Frank.
This guy told me on the phone that he charges $200 for an in-house service call, even though it's liteally a 6 km drive., plus whatever else the cost of the repair would be. No thank you!!
It was a real pleasure dealing with Frank Ho. Where other companies could not fix my bose radio, a friend gave me Frank's name and he did a great job. I would highly recommend him and he was a pleasure to deal with.
REVIEWS OF 5 STARS ARE .MADEUP! SENIORS ALERT! CAUTION! TV Repairs? TV Service? Don't use this Electronic service depot FAKE LOCATION = NO WARRANTY! CONSUMERS ALERT! NOT REAL SHOP .......DON'T DO IT! ....SHADDY!!
I'm so glad I found Electronics Service Depot. This was the only place in Canada that could fix my battery-powered amplifier (MIPRO 705) to factory standards. This was no easy fix. Circuit boards had to be replaced and battery terminals had to be reversed to accept the new production of batteries. Considering the amount of work to be done, the price was very reasonable. The service was excellent and very friendly. I had several conversations regarding the unit and Frank always took the time to answer my questions. He also agreed to accommodate me regarding the shipping of the unit to and from him. I probably would have had to scrap it if I didn't find Electronics Service Depot. I would definitely recommend them to anyone that needs any electronics repaired.
I had purchased an electric leafblower off Amazon. When I contacted the company I bought it from, they tried to find a replacement with no luck. So instead of sending it back since the motor was still cranking, I decided to do a google search and found this place. The owner was amazing. Not even 5 minutes and he diagnosed the problem with ease. I would definitely recommend him and his services to everyone.
