She did an amazing job on my daughter’s hair! My daughter walked out smiling from ear to ear. The stylist was patient, gentle, and really listened to what we wanted. The results were beautiful, and the whole experience felt warm and welcoming. The salon was clean, professional, and super kid-friendly. Highly recommend — we’ll definitely be coming back! ?♀️?
My experience was disappointing. I paid $120 plus tip for 6 stitch cornrow braids. On the booking site, the style was listed to last 2–3 weeks, but it ended up being so tight and uncomfortable that I had to remove it after just six days. The tension caused redness and bumps on the back of my neck, which was really concerning. Communication about what was required for the appointment could have been much clearer. I was corresponding with her via text and specifically asked what I needed to bring, but she didn’t mention that, in addition to combs and hair, I would also need to bring my own gel — something that was not prominently stated on the booking site. When I arrived, someone who came with me had to leave to buy gel. Throughout the service, Moyinka came across as standoffish, which made the overall experience less comfortable. When I reached out afterward to request a partial refund due to how tight the style was and how quickly I had to remove it, my calls and texts went completely unanswered. The service felt unprofessional, and the lack of communication made the experience frustrating. I wouldn’t return.
If I could rate this place a zero I would. This place is very misleading. Firstly, the environment that they’re doing their business was extremely unprofessional. The place smelled bad, it was disorganized and very messy. As soon as I walked in, I was having second thoughts but decided to stay because of the down payment I had paid. The stylist came off as unprofessional (rude )- she had no respect for me as her customer and was giving constant attitude especially when I’d ask her anything regarding how she’s braiding my hair since she was not doing the hair how I wanted it done. The hair on their instagram page that I had used for reference is completely different from what she was doing for me and throughout the entire process, I made sure to complain about the fact that what she’s doing for me is not what I had seen and asked for. I wanted small boho/goddess braids, but, as you can see in the photos, she did not give me small nor even medium. She instead did huge disproportionate parts with big loose braids that had my natural hair poking out and all. During the braiding process when I was complaining, she told me that she what she was doing were medium braid size and that the photo reference I sent her was medium size although it wasn’t and she kept trying to gaslight me into believing that they were medium braids. After my complaints and asked her that I want small she told me that she will not take the braids she’s already done - although she was not even half way through (had braided about a line or two) and that I’ll have to pay $220 to get the so called small braids. Having come all this way and wasted time, as I badly needed my hair done, I agreed to it thinking that she’ll have it fixed…but that was not the case. When she finished the braids I was very disappointed and was not feeling the braids at all- the hair was so greasy(she used more than half of my jam I was told to buy for the appointment), hairs poking out, very little curls (she had asked me to buy two packs of it and yet did not even use a full pack) everything about the hair seemed a mess but I thought maybe I was overacting as I also couldn’t see the hair hair that great due to it being extremely dark in the house. I went home and my kids were all in disbelief- all of them agreeing that the hair was not well done and when I told them how much I payed for them they were very upset and disappointed. I went back to complain and asked for at least half of money paid back and expressed my frustration on the style coming out bad and how it was nothing like what I wanted. She went on with all sorts of excuses and giving I don’t care attitude, dismissing my concerns and refused to give my money back. Of all this, after getting no apology or money back she teasingly sent me a video once again dismissing my concerns and her wrongdoing trying to justify her very poor work. All together this was by far the worst braiding experience I’ve ever encountered. Stylist lacked professionalism and fave bad quality service and work. I would not recommend this “business “ based of my experiences.
Very Fast Braider and very neat.. I will return.. the only thing she is very quiet, I would like more of an input.. this was my first appointment maybe next time she will engage in conversation with me..♥️ other than that I have no issues with her.
I absolutely love my knotless braids! The stylist was incredibly fast, yet the results were nothing short of perfect. My braids are neat, precise, and the whole process was smooth and efficient. I couldn’t be happier with how they turned out—definitely a 5-star experience!
This lady is does an amazing job on my sons hair. I have been to two different salons and nobody braids last as long as hers in my son’s hair. She is very professional, sweet and does an outstanding job. No one else will touch my son’s hair but her!
