Stopped by this place and had a great time. The food was flavorful, portions were decent, and everything came out pretty quick. Staff were nice and the overall vibe was relaxed. Prices felt fair for the quality, which was a nice bonus. Definitely worth checking out.?

I've been a loyal customer for about 3 years now and today the food was so exceptionally good I had to leave a review! Delicious and fresh food all the time! And I appreciate how they are always improving their food and expriementing with their menu and adding new things. They have a passion for making food and it really shows! I am very happy and satisfied with my order today everything was so good. I got chilli chicken kothu roti, hot honey wings + fries, butter chicken roll and chicken tandoori samosas! It was all very delicious, I wish I took pictures but we ate it up as soon as we got it!❤️

On December 12, 2025, I had a very disappointing experience at a Tamil restaurant, and I am troubled by the way Tamil people sometimes treat each other. I ordered two sets of three dosa, which usually cost $9 total ($4.50 per set), but the cashier, Giria, charged me $10. After paying with my debit card and questioning the extra charge, she explained that the usual price would only apply to regular customers, and she refunded me the $1 difference. This practice is unacceptable as it seems to take advantage of Tamil customers. I have patronized this restaurant multiple times with friends and family due to our trust in it. When I called the owner for an explanation, he provided an unsatisfactory response and rudely hung up. This was the second time such an incident has occurred with me. As a result, I have decided not to visit this restaurant anymore and have informed my friends of the situation. It is disappointing to see a Tamil-owned establishment treat customers poorly, and many of us are disheartened by our experiences at Queen Restaurant in Morningside.
Experience I visited this restaurant this evening ( 07-12-2025) with high expectations, but the experience was far below acceptable standards except Dosai. 1. Undercooked Mutton Curry The mutton curry was clearly not cooked thoroughly—the meat was tough, raw in parts, and unsafe to eat. The dish had potential, but the lack of proper cooking made it completely inedible. Serving undercooked meat is not only unprofessional but also a serious health risk. 2. Undercooked Items & Unappetizing Presentation Several items arrived looking half-prepared, and the presentation did not match the quality one expects from a restaurant. The photos clearly showed the dishes were not cooked fully. 3. Very Slow Service Despite the restaurant not being overly busy, the service was extremely slow. Every order took far longer than reasonable, and there was no proactive communication or apology from the staff. Poor service turned a disappointing meal into an even more frustrating experience. Last time the owner was there. She was very fast. 4. Poorly Made Milk Hopper The milk hopper was another letdown. The texture was off, the batter tasted under-fermented, and it was not cooked properly. A dish that should be light and delicate arrived flat, uneven, and far from its traditional standard. Overall Verdict: This visit was deeply unsatisfactory from start to finish. Only good food is Dosa and sambol with sambhar. Undercooked food, slow service, and poorly executed dishes reflect a lack of quality control in both the kitchen and management. I hope the team takes this feedback seriously and improves food safety, preparation quality, and service efficiency.
I got the chicken and shrimp noodles recently for me and my younger brother and we enjoyed it so much. Perfect spice and amazing flavour. The chef’s name was Tharshan, he did an amazing job! Will be coming back soon!
