The staff are lovely and skillful however appointments don't run on time. Don't expect your appointment to start at the agreed upon time. Expect doctor's office style service. I don't recommend going during the lunch hour.
Appointments mean nothing here. The staff don’t acknowledge you or tell you that they will be a few mins late. After waiting 25 mins past my appointment time I left. They don’t care about wasting your time.
My mother used to go to this shop religiously 30 years ago and she had no problems. I went in November 2023 to get my haircut by Rosemary and I loved what she did. Today (Sept 3rd 2024) I went to get my hair cut. I showed Rosemary a picture of what I wanted, which was what she did in November. I told her I wanted the longest length about 2 inches below my shoulder and the shortest length to my chin.......however this is not what I got!! As she was cutting my hair (which was halfway down my back) I said "it's too short, (it's shorter then last time)" and her response was "oh sorry" and continued cutting. She didn't even bother to ask while cutting the longest length if the length was ok before continuing, just cut it as short as she wanted. All of this while chatting with her coworker and constantly turning around to talk to her coworker about personal lives and stopping cutting my hair. Then while blow drying my hair I was asked if I had curly hair and I said yes but I prefer it straight and she said you like it straight I said yes as she proceeded to blow dry and put curly feathery whisps at the bottom of my hair and curled the ends up. But before she started blow drying she put mousse without asking and then oil after blow drying without asking first. I don't use any products in my hair and just wanted it straightened. So that being said, the longest length of my hair sits just above my shoulders and the shortest length is around my nose. I can barely put it in a ponytail and have to fight to do so and when I do I look like a 5 year old child. I live 3 1/2 hours away from this shop and go when I am in the city and have time to stop. When I got home and walked in the door everyone looked at me with faces like what the hell happened to your hair. So now I sit in tears at home pissed off (as is everyone else pissed off with me) trying to figure out how im going to wear my hair without looking like a child and most likely won't be going back there!!
If you book an appointment, they will take you in after 50mins. Savannah not the greatest worker. She spent 30mins on my haircut and I see no difference and wasted $60. Choose your place wisely.
Moved away 36 years ago, haven't been happy with my hair since BUT went back today & found Rosemary still there Soooo happy to have her do my hair again, nobody layers like her, love it. Thank you Rosemary!
Audrey accommodated me as a walk-in (July 2023) and kindly answered my questions when discussing style. Post cut hair oil helped with styling - will ask about the next time I go back.
APPOINTMENTS MEAN NOTHING HERE. I tried so hard to make this our family place. It's close to our house. The prices are great. But the appointment times mean nothing. Like less than nothing. Last week I had an appt for my daughter for an updo for a gala. Her appt time was 3pm. We showed up 5 minutes early. No one acknowledges our presence. Finally at 330 I asked what was happening, was met with blank stares and dirty looks. Employees saw us sitting there for half an hour. No one said a word. I explained that my daughter had a function to be at so she needed to get going, and they acted like I was a nuisance. Then the updo fell out, like completely fell out, before we even made it to the banquet hall. My daughter cried. Depsite this I thought I'll try again. Maybe updos aren't their thing. Take my son there today for a 4pm appt. Walk in and again no one acknowledges us. By 416 I ask what's happening With an attitude someone says 'I still have to put toner in this clients hair' as I explain my son has an appt that was supposed to start 16 mins ago. They couldn't care less. No apology. No kindness. We will never go back.
