This was my first time at this restaurant. I was craving doubles however I have to say this was probably the worst doubles I ever had! I could not even finish the one I was eating and ended up tossing the other one in the garbage! Please learn how to make these Trini delicacy properly or stop serving what you are making now.
I honestly had one of the worst dining experiences at this restaurant. I was really looking forward to some good West Indian food, but everything about this place was disappointing. The food itself was far from authentic — bland, poorly cooked, and completely lacking the flavor and freshness you’d expect. Portion sizes were small for the price, and nothing felt worth what we paid. But even worse than the food was the service. The lady at the front had one of the rudest attitudes I’ve ever encountered in a restaurant. From the moment we walked in, she acted as though we were an inconvenience to her. There was no greeting, no smile, not even basic courtesy. Every time we asked a simple question about the menu, she gave us dismissive and sarcastic answers, as if we were wasting her time. Her tone was sharp, unwelcoming, and made us feel extremely uncomfortable. Restaurants are supposed to make customers feel valued, but this was the complete opposite. A bad meal is one thing, but being treated with such arrogance and disrespect by the front staff completely ruins the experience. If this is the face of their customer service, it explains why the place was practically empty. I will never come back here and would strongly advise others not to waste their time or money. There are plenty of other West Indian spots that actually care about their food and their customers — this one is definitely not it.
The front cashier is extremely rude and unprofessional. I called to report that my order was wrong and requested a refund since I live 20 minutes away. She told me I could only get a refund if I returned immediately. When I explained I couldn’t come back today, she raised her voice, argued, and then hung up on me. As long-time customers, we will not be returning. Terrible customer service.
Ordered the bake and shark, not impressed, no dressing at all. The fish itself and the bara was decent but was overall dry. Could definitely be better.
Went for the first time and had an amazing experience ordering from their lunch special. HUGE delicious chicken roti, not just great quantity but filled with meat and flavour!! Def going back really soon to try more! Dahl was also super delicious!
Ordered boneless chicken roti and oxtail rice with rice and peas. My total was about $43.. so $20 per meal. When I picked up the roti in my hand, it did not feel hot, just barely warm. I took my first bite and the food was cold. I then used a fork to select a piece of chicken to be sure, and the whole piece was cold. Unfortunately I can't capture temperature through pictures. I called the store right away and the staff had no solution except to call tomorrow. I also repeatedly asked for extra pepper sauce/extra spice, the staff said ok but did not add any additional pepper sauce. Very disappointed. $20 for a cold and mild chicken roti is absurd. I haven't tried the oxtail yet but the container is barely warm. If you're going to sell crappy quality at the end of the day then charge less or don't sell it at all. I will update my review after I "call tomorrow" as advised... Updating my review to show the oxtail now. 4 pieces of meat and the rest is rice and peas for $20 (they charge $1.50 extra for rice & peas). Over priced and tastes basic. One spoon of gravy No coleslaw?
I bought the boneless chicken roti, and it had absolutely no flavor whatsoever. It was so bland and just horrendous. They definitely need to hire a new chef because I haven't tasted something this horrible in a very very long time. 0/5 for the food.
