Went here today for the first time and the service was amazing! The workers were so nice and gave me really good recommendations on what to get. The food oh my god.. absolutely love it! Will be coming back again!! :)
Restaurant is always clean, good atmosphere. The food tastes very good and the portion sizes are great for the price. Would recommend as a Scarborough gem for good food.
I went there for lunch and got the curry goat island bowl, which was pretty much fully loaded, and I was impressed. The goat was ultra tender, the flavors were really good, the portion was big, and i dont say that often. The island sauce topped it off really nice. I'm definitely gonna go back and try the sandwiches and roti's. I recommend you do as well
Amazing walk in special deal! Got the jerk chicken sandwich and it was SO satisfying. Juicy, meaty, spicy, yum! A perfect hangover cure! I will be back for sure
I just wanted to say WOW. I LOVE curry chicken, and when I heard this place has it, I had to try. I am very simple; I am a curry girl, and I am a rice girl, and I have to say this bowl is SO delicious! And it’s actually massive for such a good price. I didn’t get any of the additional toppings they offer because it was my first time and I tend to stick to what I know, but after seeing these photos and reviews I will definitely be coming back and trying more things (the jerk chicken grilled cheese looks scrumptious btw). The service here is also really good, and the staff is so friendly! Update: So I went back and this time I got the curry chicken bowl and actually added some stuff in. I chose the creamy coleslaw, sweet potato, pineapple salsa and avocado aioli and it was SO GOOD! I am in LOVE, obsessed even, with the pineapple salsa and I really didn’t expect that. ——— I posted this review a few months ago but I wanted to update it with a more recent picture of my bowl that I got for takeout, with all of the toppings that I’m so glad I tried!
Nice staff, clean restaurant, cheap & plentiful food. I ordered the jerk chicken grilled cheese. Personally, I didn't care for the jerk chicken. Wasn't very flavourful and barely had any spice, but everyone has different preferences I guess.
Got the Oxtail Bowl based on other reviews. My go to is usually Jerk chicken anywhere I go. Oxtail was not bad. Definitely recommend getting the sauces on top of the bowl vs on the side to take. You definitely get more if you get it with your bowl. The Caribbean sauce they recommended tasted really good. The grilled cheese was good. Would be nice if it came with a sauce on the side to dip into. Definitely tasted healthy and portion size is pretty good. $HBFG
