The food was fair for the price we paid. It's my second time here in this place. We tried the boodle fight group meal this time. It came with 2 cold squid stuffed with tomatoes and onions. I expected this to be warmed at least if not grilled. The fried pork hock has nothing to bite. It's just like a display, it's a waste. Just bones! Maybe just put more veggies instead.
This is my first time trying Manyaman's food and it won't be my last. I ordered the chicken Tinola, and the beef Cardereta. The chicken Tinola was fantastic! The kind of soup you want to eat every day especially when you're under the weather. It had a lot of chicken in it and had a beautiful lemongrass and ginger broth, along with green beans and baby bok choy, absolutely delicious!! Will I buy it again? You better believe I am! As for the beef Cardereta, it too was a beautiful dish. It's a beef and liver stew with a few red peppers and potatoes in it. The gravy was very flavourful and had a great consistency. A great meal on a cold day. I loved it! I also got the Ube Biko Langka Macapuno. Its a sticky rice dessert made with coconut milk and Ube. It's simple, slightly sweet, dense and has a subtle Ube flavour. It was delicious! The older I get the less sweet and complicated I like my desserts, it seems, this biko fit the bill perfectly. The establishment was clean and the service was great and served with a smile. I'll definitely be back to try other delicious offerings! Great job!!
I’ve been trying this Filipino restaurant for the past few weeks, and I’d say it has the best Filipino food in Toronto! I especially love their sinigang, as well as the bopis and dinuguan.
It tastes like home. As soon as I put the food in my mouth, I immediately tasted the love put into it. Must try - the kare kare, the nilaga. Tried some of the bicol express. I went the day before too - langka, sisig, caldereta. Friendly din yung mga staff ANG SARAP! MANYAMAN _______ May bidet pa sa CR, social sila ah
The food is fair but I will never go back to this place again. We ordered food for take out and they told us it will take 20-30 mins. The couple before us who ordered for dine-in also has the same wait time like us. We went to a nearby store to pass the time and went back 30 mins after. When we went back, the food was not ready. People were complaining that they were there waiting for 1.5 hrs already. After another 30 mins or so (over 1 hour), we finally got our food. As soon as we stepped out of the place, our clothes smelled like food. The place was not well ventilated that the smell of food grabs on to your clothes. Never will I go back again. There are other Filipino food places with better service.
Food and service were both great, but can you please ask for your customer's permission before going live? It's unethical as not everybody would like to be on camera especially without our knowledge. I just saw my face on your FB live post and I would appreciate if you can take that post down. Thanks.
I am so happy that they finally opened one in Scarborough. It is authentic Pampanga cuisine. Where it is well known for being the best in culinary delight.
