I guess it’s not the station owner’s fault that Shell doesn’t have many car washes yet heavily advertises a $2/day car wash pass … but yikes!! And I actually appreciate that they took down their old “90 mins from here” sign, because that seemed to be based on a basic wash and the one included in the pass takes quite a bit longer. But still - how was it ever normal to wait 90 mins to get your car clean? The line was past that point tonight … glad no one was misled to think they’d “only” lose 90 mins of their lives to Shell’s poor planning, when they’d actually be there most of the evening and well into the night - but it does seem surreal that unfamiliar users could wait 2-3 hours without any warning. Tonight, the roads weren’t busy, plazas nearby were deserted, and the line was at least 2h15m based on past experience. Makes the pass I bought, and the other folks presumably trying to use theirs, seem like the definition of the sunk-cost fallacy! Glad I recognized that and am comfortably at home on this very cold night, rather than maybe 1/3 of the way through the line. Given that it takes 20 mins to get to, and other neighborhoods are even farther from the nearest Shell car wash than my own, it seems like a rather obvious oversight not to report wait times online … or just install car washes at the many, many Shell locations that don’t have them. [Added 2345: so this is funny… you can literally drive 20 mins home, write a review, go about your night, AND RECEIVE A REPLY FROM SHELL before you would’ve gotten your car washed if you’d tried to wait. Wow. Yes, do work on improving. An idea: if you have resources to respond at this hour, even formulaically, surely you can afford a sensor or a cheap webcam to warn people before they set out that you don’t have capacity to serve them in under 2 hours.)
The rating pertains to the services available. (1) Had a car wash here once and opted for the premium package. The car looked like it was hardly washed as no stains were removed. (2) Used the vacuum recently and one of two didn’t work with the electronic payment methods (only coins). The suction was so weak it was hardly picking anything up and before you know it, the time ran out. Management definitely needs to reassess their offerings and make enhancements / maintain routine repairs.
Terrible service at this station from the same woman attendant that's been there for years. Vacuums don't work and they don't give refunds. Feels like a scam. I'll use one of the many other gas stations in the area now.
Been filling up during the evenings and customer service is always great. When paying he always asks for my CAA card to get my discount. Which is good so I'll definitely return. Thank you.
Shell was okay. The only thing I did not like is that car’s side mirrors are not wash properly. I went several time for my car wash but it’s keep happening.
Just a regular self service Gas station. Inside like a small convenient store. Not sure they have washroom for public or not. They have a car wash machine outside.
Car wash is looking a little tired, mould on the walls, leaves and rubbish all over the floor in the car wash, entrance door doesn’t work. This is a busy car wash I’m sure financially basic maintenance is possible.
