I started out as a member and then went on to volunteer and now I'm am a staff member. Variety Village has been a huge part of my health journey. I walk into the building every day and feel like I'm walking into my home away from home. Variety Village is a community built for everyone. Thank you, members, volunteers and staff for being part of my amazing and on going health journey ❤️ ? ? ✨️

Was there for a four team volleyball invitational. Great facility for this type of event (would be just as good for basketball). Clean, spacious and the staff were very attentive and helpful.

Nice and accessible for special need and it's the only one. but it's too far from etobicoke where I leave I wish if there's one in the west side of the city

If there’s one word to describe Variety Village, it’s inclusive. This place truly stands out for the way it welcomes and supports everyone. There are so many great activities for adults to enjoy, such as running on the track, swimming, and participating in different fitness programs. I’ve had the chance to visit Variety Village a few times with Autism Ontario during camp trips, and each experience has been wonderful. One of the things that makes it especially unique is the café, which is open to and supports people with disabilities. I’d also like to recognize Brian, one of the former supervisors. He’s an incredibly knowledgeable person who genuinely cares about and understands the needs of people with disabilities. His kindness and professionalism made a lasting impression on me. I truly wish more places were like Variety Village. It’s a perfect example of what inclusion should look like. Unfortunately, not many places offer the same level of accommodation and understanding—but Variety Village sets a great standard for others to follow.

It’s a pretty bad gym. They always have the courts rented and it’s not fair to members who pay to have access to them. They also never clean them and it is very dusty. They also have very rude staff their staff is not respectful towards members I would not recommend going her

This place is absolutely amazing for people with special needs. A lot of options to choose from, from swimming to fitness centre, track to softball field. They also have a cafeteria and outdoor seating to have lunch. Lots of parking available. Well used facility.

I had a membership at Variety Village and I went a few times sporadically. I tried so hard to go but I couldn't get myself to go because I found that they have limited machines and outdated equipment. The building is so dark inside with all that 60's/70's brick walls that it needs to be renovated and upgraded. It doesn't have natural sunlight streaming in at the track, swimming pools, or the weight room. The weightroom is really small with limited, outdated equipment. They have some small windows but it still feels like you're cut off from nature. I found the ambiance depressing so imagine trying to workout there. They should have big windows where people can see the outdoors and feel connected. They need to install large cieling skylights and large wall windows from cieling to floor in every area for natural light to stream in. The last thing that I didn't like was that the cool air wasn't always circulating so I felt like I was inhaling stale air making me feel like I was suffocating. I let my membership lapse and I never went back nor renewed it.
