I can’t say enough good things about Images salon. I’ve been coming here since I was a teenager, and all these years later it’s still the only place I trust. Now I bring my entire family here, which says everything. The consistency, care, and talent are truly unmatched. What makes this salon so special is how personal the experience feels. They take the time to listen, make thoughtful recommendations, and always deliver results that feel fresh. Beyond the incredible hair, the atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and professional. You never feel rushed, and you always leave feeling confident and taken care of. It’s rare to find a place you can stay loyal to for decades, but this salon has earned that loyalty many times over. Highly, highly recommend!
Lisa at Images Salon was one of the best stylists I’ve ever had. I’ve been hopping around to salons in Toronto and have been continuously disappointed but Lisa is a hair scientist! She understood my hair pattern and why the previous cut wasn’t working and also did my colour perfectly with the exact right undertones. The price was also very reasonable! She will be my new go-to for my area. Thank you Lisa for giving me my spark back!
Everyone that works there is so kind and welcoming. I went with my 9-year-old for the first time. Hazel was so sweet - she did a fantastic job with both of our haircuts and blow dry. My daughter only wanted a trim, and Hazel did a great job accommodating her request. She even did a nice little curl at the ends of her blowout. I got a short bob with curtain bangs - and let me tell you I felt so fabulous leaving that salon. We will definitely be back!
I am absolutely thrilled with my balayage I got done with Shenil! It was my first time with her and she did EXACTLY what I wanted. My hair looks identical to the inspiration pic I showed her. She is extremely talented and works efficiently. I am so happy that I’ve found my new hairstylist in Durham! she has many years of experience and has excellent technique. Book with Shenil for cut and colour and especially balayage!!!
I had a great experience with Hazel. She’s communicative, friendly, diligent, and clearly takes pride in her work. Hazel made sure to check in and ensure I was getting the cut I wanted, including the products she used in my hair. I highly recommend Hazel!

Please DO NOT go here to get your hair cut. Especially if you have curly hair. The first time I was there last year, the girl the young girl who cut my hair was very good but when I went last month, there was a different woman and she was bad. She asked a lot of questions about what I wanted (e.g. amount to take off, layers, etc.) and then ignored the answers. She gave me weird and extremely short layers (which I said I did not want) at the back of my head. Thank god she cut them off the bottom layers of my hair so you can't always see them. But I can't wear my hair in a bun or a ponytail because the hair is too short and falls out or sticks out in random directions. I also can't have my hair in front of my shoulders or you can clearly see random chunks of hair are 2-3 inches shorter than the rest. I tried to wear my hair in a curly ponytail the other day and it looked like someone had taken kitchen knife a to half my hair. All this after weeks of regrowth and it's no better. So disappointed.
