I got box braids done here and honestly they ATE ?✨ My hair came out so neat, clean, and exactly how I wanted it. The braider was super gentle and made sure I was comfortable the whole time. The shop is clean, everyone is friendly, and the vibes are calm. My braids look so good and they’re not even heavy. I definitely recommend this place if you want your hair looking fresh and lasting long. I’ll 100% be coming back! ???
The stylist was very polite and helpful. I did feeding braids and her cornrows were very neat and she was quick. Make sure to confirm price before doing your hair as the size, length and number of cornrows determines the price.
HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! This place has no clue how to take care of hair. First of all they'll be late to your appointment. They will rip your hair out and charge you 4x the quoted price. STAY AWAY!!
Today I tried getting my hair braided at this salon for the first time. Initial appointment was for 11 am and my braided (Comfort) was running 10 mins late. Initially over the phone I asked for a quote for doing a 24” medium Part / medium braid style and was told it would be between the price range of $125 - $250 (the lady on the phone was certain $250 would be the maximum. Once I arrived at the salon, the other hairdresser quoted me $250 and once Comfort walked in she tried to tell me the style would be $320 for regular box braids (keep in mind this is without any extra styling i.e Goddess Curls, Bohemian etc.). I Managed to negotiate down to $220 but wholeheartedly it wasn’t worth anything more than $200. Now onto the service, I did arrive with detangled hair that was a bit damp due to the rain and humidity and as soon as the service began Comfort was EXTREMELY aggressive with my hair and proceeded to use a brush directly on my hair straight onto the roots downwards (versus brushing from the ends up to my roots). Immediately as she brushed I felt and heard so many of my hair strands just ripping and coming off from my roots and when I discussed my concerns I was dismissed. (Please keep in mind my hair is 4C and explicitly mentioned my hair is fragile and a bit damaged and to be gentle during this service). From there she asked for clarification on the type of style I wanted for my braid and asked for photo references. I was EXTREMELY clear about the fact I wanted Knotless braids and Comfort (hairdresser) repeatedly mentioned I should do normal boxed braids because “they last longer on the hair”. My biggest regret is continuing the service but unfortunately I proceeded to continue because I needed my hair done for my birthday. Fast forward to the actual braiding process, Comfort was very rough and agressive throughout the whole process and repeatedly pull so hard onto my scalp and push my head around (AGGRESSIVELY) to reposition my head instead of communicating her needs to me. Mid way through the braid I was informed by Comfort that she went ahead to do ‘normal’ boxed braids instead of the initial Knotless Boxed Braids I requested at the start of the service. As we proceeded to wrap up this service, my friend and I noticed that the parts of the middle at what parts were crooked and wasn’t consistent. As I began to look around at the equipment she was using on my hair I quickly realized that the items used aren’t properly sterilized and the towel used behind my neck had a stench as well as the towel that she used to dry my hair after dipping it in hot water (as a result leaving a could stench in my hair). Later she pointed me in the direction of the drier and turned on the machine and left me there without an explanation. After being put under the drier Comfort simply walked out of the salon and didn’t return till 20 mins later (as I’m paying with another hair stylist). I personally had to get myself out with no help or follow up from anyone and there was ZERO communication on Comforts end. Unfortunately, until now (8 Hours after the service) my head feels raw and there are 1-2 strands of hair that came of my roots from various braids due to the tightness of the braid and my head is sore and very tender from all the aggressive pulling that happened throughout the process of this braiding experience. This salon was a girls day planned with a friend gone sour over severely poor service, attempting to price gouge, horrendous communication, and lack of professionalism. I wouldn’t recommend this salon to anyone for the fact that they don’t deliver any results as well as the price they attempt to charge you’d be able to receive much better service and results elsewhere.
Very neatly done and swiftly too! Professional services and no sitting in the chair for long hours. I like value for my money and will keep going back.
Prices are to high was told 60 than came and was told 120 for A 50 hairstyle at most. I traveled so far I had no choice but to accept. The African lady there kept on burping while doing my hair it smelled very bad I won't be returning
I called and asked how much it woudl be for my friend and I to get braids she said $110. It ended up costing $135 for horrible done braids. She ripped the hair out of my scalp and braided my tangled my hair. The braids were so messy and not professionally done, They we're completely lopsided and embarrassing to go outside in. I paid $135 and had to hide what she did.
