This was my first time visiting this restaurant and when I walked it we were welcomed with amazing music. We were welcomed by friendly staff and we ordered the bowls - piri express and chicken combo. It was not only reasonably priced but the food was really tasty! The staff gave us free water and they didn’t let us pay tip. A true gem on the Lawrence Ave East strip!
Monteiro is my favourite spot for food!! Highly recommend. The food portion, flavour and sauces are absolutely flavourful. I first tried it on uber eats and went back the same week to do pick up. The restaurant’s history is nicely done on the wall and was such a delightful experience getting to know the place better going in! The aromas in there definitely made me want to try everything! I’ve had the crispy bbq bowl and the tex-mex and it did not disappoint! Their natas is also such a nice treat that goes well with the food! I was lucky to get the opportunity to try the mango sumol drink from Portugual and will definitely be repurchasing in the future! Get the combo you will not regret it!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 I visited Monteiro and tried their Crispy BBQ bowl, and it was absolutely amazing! The flavors were rich, the toppings were fresh, and the dish looked just as good as it tasted — beautifully prepared just like in the photo. A special shout-out to their employee, Jahanvi. She was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. Excellent service paired with great food — highly recommend Monteiro!
Just got this on Uber eats and threw up after eating. My stomach was hit with instant pains. Still not feeling well. I will be reporting my food poisoning. Do not order
Service and workers are kind and nice but I just finished eating and I’m literally flying home to use the toilet this food is really low quality but if you want a real review your better off at nandos or something it was my first yime eating here and definitely my last my stomach is literally killing me and I am about to destroy my toilet
Ordered for a take out for poutine, got home and opened the package only to realize they gave me the wrong item. Got a rice bowl instead. The food tasted really well, slightly disappointed that it wasn’t the item I ordered
This spot is definitely a hidden gem, we got a bunch of dishes to try and each one was amazing, I definitely recommend the tex mex bowl, and the sandwich if you’re on the go! They also have a dessert place right beside and we tried a Sunday also really good! I think this spot might be fresher than chipotle
