Not the best facilities! It’s nearly December and several of the ice pads do not free up until nearly the end of the game and still show standing water. The ice stays spongy especially in the goal crease’s. Very low glass along the entire side boards leads to unnecessary stoppages of play as the puck frequently goes over. Not set up well for spectators whatsoever. Hope we never have to play here again!

We’ve had a wonderful experience with Canlan Sports. I enrolled my daughter in the beginner Learn to Skate program this fall, and her progress has been remarkable—even after just two classes. The instruction team, led by Chase, is fantastic. He’s patient, engaging, and truly connects with the kids, creating a positive and motivating learning environment. What sets Canlan apart is the excellent instructor-to-student ratio, ensuring each child receives individualized guidance based on their skill level. I also appreciate that they provide walkers for beginners while encouraging independence as the children gain confidence on the ice. The program is exceptionally well organized, fun, and supportive. We’re very impressed with the quality of coaching and look forward to enrolling our daughter in future sessions.

Solid facility, for hockey! Located relatively elatively close to the highway... However, TONS! of speed cameras & red-light cameras in the general facinity.

Typical Canlan, if you’ve been to one, you’ve been to them all. I will say the bathrooms were probably the cleanest I’ve seen at a Canlan facility. The viewing sucks, it really does, especially if you’re in the cold area, no where to sit and minimal places to stand. Lastly I know it’s an arena, we live in arenas 11 months of the year, but the Canlan arenas are FREEZING! Holy smokes they’re cold! Bundle up people!

Spoke with Christina on the phone and she was very helpful answering my questions about their learn to skate program. Looking forward to giving this location a try.

Attended my daughter’s Ringette tournament games at this facility and was disappointed. The only seating and public washrooms in the building are upstairs. I was dreading everytime I needed to use the washroom because only a few stalls, smelly (toilets do not flush properly) and the wait would be at least 10 minutes. This place desperately needs another washroom downstairs especially when hosting tournaments of this size. Also disappointed there is zero heating at rink level. Today our third tournament games was at Thornhill Community Centre (older facility but guest comfort in mind) and I was dreading having to come back to Canlan for the fourth game… here’s hoping our fifth one isn’t back here

New this year 2017 beer offered by cart girls outside your change room after your game. Great stuff. Excellent food and staff. Head upstairs b4 after or during the game or all of the above! Still the best place for league play. Penalty free game earns free nachos. Now serving wild wings. Next step will b to catch up to Montreal and have a bar downstairs too ;)
