Absolutely awful place to purchase a car. Bought my Suzuki SX4 a year ago at 130,000 KM and I already have to sell it and find a new car as I have had nothing but problems. I have called CAA at least 5 times within the past year. When I purchased, they told me it would be cleaned and all aspects would be repaired. When I received the car, it was filthy, the A/C was broken (even though they told me they would fix it) and the windshield that had been replaced cracked within a week. I feel like an idiot for purchasing a car here. Total waste of money and time. Go anywhere else.
Back in December, I bought a car from this dealership for $4,500. The first time I drove it after parking it in my driveway, I noticed a puddle of oil underneath. It turned out the car was leaking so much oil that it got into one of the engine cylinders and caused severe misfiring. I contacted Daniel (the owner), and to his credit, he fixed the issue free of charge. That said, I had to cover the cost of transport to and from Scarborough myself (I'm located in Peterborough), which added about $100. From the beginning, the car was shifting poorly. Harsh upshifts were constant, and downshifts occasionally jolted hard. After doing some research, I assumed it was due to the car's adaptive transmission learning system and that it would adjust over time. I was wrong. Eventually, a much more serious issue developed. The transmission would sometimes fail to engage at low speeds, then jolt violently when it finally did. I took it to a local transmission specialist who told me the issue was internal and serious and they’d need to open it up to even diagnose it. That would cost $1,800 just to start, plus parts and further labor. At that point, I had already spent $4,500 on the car and wasn’t about to dump that kind of money into an open-ended repair. I reached out to Daniel again, and he quoted me roughly $3,000 for a replacement transmission and install. He offered to take $1,000 off the bill, which I appreciated, but at that point I had no real choice. I couldn't afford to junk the car or sell it in its current condition. I also had to pay again for transport and gas to Scarborough. Now, four months and a total of $6,800 later, the car finally appears to be running properly. But this whole process cost me way more than I intended, way more than I can really afford, and way more than the car is actually worth. I really appreciate that Daniel did help me with all of this and didn't leave me out to dry. That said, and maybe I just got unlucky, but selling a car with leaking oil and a failing transmission is a bit hard to justify. While Daniel did help by giving me a $1000 dollar discount on the transmission and covered the labor warranty himself, the overall experience was obviously still not a great.
Buyers beware!!!! The car I purchased was supposed to be " Certified "......that was a joke. Took the vehicle to my own mechanic. Tires 10 years old with cracks and lug nuts on the verge of flying off. Advertised with A/C...total lie. No A/C. Got the vehicle with Zero washer fluid!!......I mean 0...nada!!! Water pump ,gasket and parts not inspected for certification. Had to be replaced. Because I had documented proof from my mechanic re the tires ,they did source some "second hand tires" with about 75% thread life!!! I wanted so badly to give this dealership a good review , primarily because the young man managing the shop, Daniel,..tries his best at Customer service but the overall integrity, honesty of the shop is in question. I would not recommend.
Worst customer service, we visited today ( June 8 2024 ) afternoon, guy who works there was over the phone, he didn't respond us and we were waiting more than 15mins and left the place. The we visited the other dealer 2km from there and bought car. Worst customer service. I visited directly at about 4.pm
Looked at a car and asked to test drive but they insisted I agree to financials first before test driving. Super odd. The car I was looking at also had suspiciously low KM's even though the car was old and had been through a lot by the looks of it...... do not trust these people.
super shady dealership, very rude customer service and very cheap paint work, on arrival he said no damage no scratches but when I found the cheap paint work area he said there were some scratches from accident we fixed it. but car fax doesn't show anything.
The worst Auto dealer I have ever met. I went there 1 month ago for a car and they don't tell you the truth about the options available. They also lie about car specs when you can get them online.
