Though the meat purchased was good. I would like to suggest that we do better as a black business with our customer service. Sitting on Meat counter is also not sanitary.
Was there 2 weeks ago and a woman whom I believe was the owner went above and beyond to portion and pack me the oat swallow I needed even when it was ready at the time. I appreciate her prompt attention to satisfying customer needs. The lady attendant too is very kind. Would visit again.
On 18th September, 2025, I went to this place to buy one box of yam $100, when I got home wanted to cook one, it was spolt, I called them, they said I should bring the one piece, I brought it back, they changed that one, after few days, I want to cook another yam it was bad, even that particular one they changed was bad, I brought all the yam back, waited on the line when it gets to my turn, I show them the yam, only for this lady in this picture to say, I supposed finish a box of yam in 3 days, is a perishable goods, that I can not buy tomatoes from Walmart and return it, that she will not do anything, I asked her can I see your manager, she said he is not around, can I call him, she said she don’t have his number, she walked out of me without saying a word and was doing other things at the back, even the black brief guy was there both of them were very rude and arrogant, imagine if they open store and nobody comes to buy, will they feed, is it not people that buy from them, they make money to continue the business, why treating people like that, yet you want my hard earned money in this Canada, she told me to sit down and wait for her manager any time he return, you must be joking, see it is so disheartening that a woman at her craving stage will spend money to buy something yet she will not enjoy it, and you don’t even have manner of approach or empathy to handle the situation, both the guy and the lady was busy talking bullshit speaking language, after all the talk I called my husband and gave her phone, she said her manager will call him, he never did, after few days my husband called them, they said they will not change the yam, guys be very careful when you take your money to this place. Check what you want to buy very well if is bad or it have spoil, this is not the first time, is not the second time, this is the third time, and those ones was manageable. But this is the worst of it all. That is why I decided to voice out. Right now I need my $100 back period. Am not interested in their so called spoil yam. Thank you for your response. Just to clarify: I returned one spoiled yam the next day, as requested and was exchanged. Unfortunately, the replacement yam was also spoiled. I expressed my disappointment but did not assault anyone, rather your staff are rude, note a box of yam I bought was all bad. You guys refused to change it. I’m sharing my experience honestly so others can make informed decisions. I hope future concerns are handled with more care and respect. Thank you.
The gentleman with the Dada hairstyle at the meat cutter area needs to be customer-friendly, as a smile is essential while providing service. He has a tendency to become irate quickly.
Affordable prices, A lot of African goods available, The employee was super friendly. The only thing that bothered me is the lack of prices on certain goods and the distance , too far from downtown But I recommend
The owner has THE worst mood swings, one day she’s your bff the next day she looks acts like you are bothering her. I think I’ve had enough mood swings. She clearly doesn’t need my business. Lol you can see the responses in every bad review. Customer service is lacking. Good luck with your mood swings.
Most of the frozen green leaves/vegetables are nearly brown. So disappointing. Update: This isn’t personal. You know those packages aren’t fresh. I also didn’t mention the poor customer service that many others have called out before me. I think I’m sparing you in that aspect.
