Ever since the original change of ownership, this South Asian grocery supermarket has gone downhill. Prices are overly inflated and feel like price gouging. Competitors offer much better deals, and even mainstream supermarkets have lower prices now. I will not be returning. Very disappointing overal.
Had an worst experience with the cashier yesterday. The staff number is 0926. I had three seperate purchase, without my permission, she asked another customer to cashout breaking the queue while I was unloading my purcahses to her table. That's not the big deal! I wonder, do not the employees get the customer service related tranining before they join the service? She is not greeting any of the customers and at the end of the purchase not even saying the basic things, like, have a good day/ night not even thank you. It seems to me that, she is bored and absent-minden. I worked for Loblaws and FarmBoy as cashier and I know what is mean to greet the customers. If Iqbal foods do not care about customer service or do not train the front end employees with the basic customer services, and manner, I have nothing to say then! I have visited other branches of Iqbal Foods, however, did not have a worst experice like this. I believe, the authority should consider this fact and take necessary steps to avoid such experience with the future customers. Thank you.
I had a great experience at Iqbal Foods (Birchmount branch). The store is always clean, well-organized, and stocked with everything you need. A special mention to the Butchery section – the quality of meat is excellent, halal, fresh, and always cut to perfection. A big thanks to Supervisor Abdur Rahman for his outstanding customer service. He’s polite, professional, and always goes above and beyond to help customers. His dedication truly makes the shopping experience pleasant every time. Highly recommend this location for anyone looking for quality products and exceptional service!
It is always sooo wonderful to shop at Iqbal but this time our brother Fardeen has helped us alot as i wanted a specific rice called maharani wch he had stock but the smaller one but i needed the bigger one so i ordered it through him & he was very helpful & got me 4 bigger bag of rice. Highly recommend shopping at Iqbal & recommend all to speak with brother Fardeen if you guys need anything?
I’m so glad to see Siggi’s Yogurt available in this area now. I used to make special trips to Costco or Walmart just to get it. The Vanilla Cinnamon flavor is one of my favourites rich, creamy, and high in protein while still low in sugar. Even better, the store carries other Siggi’s flavors too, so there’s more variety to choose from. Really happy I don’t have to travel far anymore to enjoy this brand.
Lovely place to shop and it's open upto 11 am five stars to that, but some cashiers do not even mind to give the bill into our hands and feel free to throw it on the table, especially to elders. Even at the meat section which is not so busy but generously staffed, and many staff pay much attention only to the beef sextion and they seldom bother to notice you if you need chicken or fish and should keep on calling for some help to attend. Kindly note that customers time is precious too. Some attention and courtesy needs to get improved on regular customers. Two stars for customer relations. Hope they take the cue and improve relations.
Just standing there chatting... when asked to help customers she said call maria and ask them to send more customers. Manager should take a note. Huge line up of customers waiting.
