I had one of the worst customer experiences of my life at this Shoppers Drug Mart location, specifically due to the behaviour of the manager, John McMillan. I came in to use the Postal Service and shipped off two packages. Before leaving, I decided to purchase a $100 PlayStation gift card. As I zipped up my jacket to head home, I was pickpocketed. I immediately ran back inside and informed the cashier, who contacted management. A manager came out, took my receipt, and assured me the cameras were being reviewed. I waited over an hour, and during this time no one provided an update, support, or any form of reassurance. I eventually had to call the police myself because it was clear the situation was going nowhere. After about an hour and a half, John McMillan finally came out and told me he had “wasted his time” reviewing the cameras. He then proceeded to raise his voice at me, telling me to “calm down,” even though I was not yelling—I was visibly shaken, hyperventilating, and upset because I had just been robbed. It is completely understandable for any customer to be distressed after losing $100, especially during the holiday season. Instead of showing empathy or offering support, he spoke to me in a condescending and unprofessional manner. There was no resolution, no compensation, no guidance, and absolutely no customer care provided. As I was leaving, the police arrived and confirmed they were looking for me. I explained everything to the officers. PlayStation support informed me that because it was a debit purchase, only the merchant could provide assistance yet this manager offered none. This location clearly has serious theft issues, and based on my experience, management does not support customers who are victims of theft on their premises. I strongly advise others to be cautious when visiting this store.
I don’t even want to give a single star. The lady working in pharmacy was too rude. I greeted her & asked if I could pay for one item. She didn’t even looked at me. Zero communication skills. & attitude was on peak. I hate these kind of associates if they don’t know about customer service.
When I say that I have visited several shoppers drug mart stores, I mean exactly that! This one in particular is great. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and always willing to help. I never have to wait long to receive my prescription. If you are in the area and you’re in need of a shoppers definitely visit this location.
I shop at this Shoppers Drug Mart pretty often, and, one of the merchandisers (abra) He’s always super helpful and friendly every time. I came in needing help finding a serum for my hair and He takes the time to guide me through my options and makes sure I find what I’m looking for. It’s always a good experience when he’s around really appreciate his great customer service and congratulations to the manger for having such a wonderful staff
Terrible Customer Service from Narma I had a really disappointing experience at this Shoppers Drug Mart with an employee named Narma. I asked for Type-C earphones, and she made me wait about 7 minutes just for someone to bring the keys to unlock the case. When she finally came back, she handed me the wrong item — a charger instead of earphones. After realizing the mistake, she made me wait another 5 minutes to check if they even had the Type-C earphones in stock, which they didn’t. Then it took another 5 minutes just to process the refund. Throughout the entire interaction, she was rude, unhelpful, and seemed annoyed that I even asked for assistance. I left frustrated and empty-handed after wasting nearly 20 minutes for nothing. Definitely not the level of service you expect from Shoppers Drug Mart.
Zuhal was knowledgeable and patient when it came to insight on makeup/ cosmetics. She offered multiple suggestions based off actively listening to my needs. Appreciate the time she took to go above and beyond to help with getting a product on good condition. Grateful she was here to assist me
