Kenji answered my enquiry in very details manner and provided solution always. I appreciate Kenji services.
Came for a repair which is covered under the warranty which I paid for. The service advisors denied the warranty and was abusive. One senior service advisory was even bullying. They never bothered to check the coverage properly and blindly told to go and clear with the service providing company myself and declined to provide any assistance. Declined to check the purchase date of the vehicle and claimed that the warranty started 4 months before my purchase date. Yelled at me in front of other customers and was escaping the situation. I purchased the same car from their showroom and they say that they can’t bother to check with their sales or finance department to clarify the truth even after providing them with my purchase proof to the service advisor. I’ll give them negative stars if could. It took me half hour for me to explain and get some help. They said thy will submit the claim and see anything can be done as though they are doing me a favour ( in reality the service which I’m entitled for). Nobody takes responsibility for the abuse and injustice suffered.
I brought my car here for repair and asked for everything to be checked. They charged me almost $1800 just for cleaning the spark plugs and when I told them the problem persisted they told me the transmission was broken and that I would have to pay another $8000. When I explained the problem they didn't help me at all and basically kicked me out. I would never recommend them. The person who took care of me was Jasmin and I was never satisfied. I would never recommend them. This is a scam.
I want to give a huge thank you to Edwin and Kaleem for going above and beyond when my starter motor needed to be replaced right away. They understood how important it was for me to have my car—especially with little kids to drive around in this cold weather—and made sure everything was taken care of quickly. The diagnosis was fast, I didn’t have to wait long, and they clearly explained my options. The turnaround time was incredibly quick—within 24 hours—and the service was outstanding from start to finish. I really appreciate their professionalism, care, and urgency.
Went in for oil change. They called back to ask about changing filters...thats fine. They called back again to say I had two nails in the rear wheels of my winter tires (these tires were stored with them). I had to call my math professor friend to calculate the rate air would escape from a tire stored away and also for the probability that these nails would have entered a tire days before getting my oil change and not trigger any low tire pressure warnings. According to my friend... "its next to impossible", and that the probability of this happening to two tires was equivalent to winning the lottery on Feb 29th. So then I thought about it and thought maybe I had enemies? Two nails in both rear wheels sounded malicious. So I asked the rep to save the nails so I could bring them to the police station to get them examined. Maybe they could get finger prints and find out who did this. I told the rep my plan and just like that it became 1 nail and a small leak in the other tire. I was relieved I didn't have any enemies but still -- the rate of air escaping both tires and this not triggering low air pressure signals on the driver hub has me and my friend in constant communication. He is still making formulas to prove that this could happen. I would hate to believe I was lied to. There is no way an auto parts store, serving the great community of Scarborough is doing this to Scarboroughians. Heaven's no. Anyways, giving them a 5 because they have reignited a friendship with my math professor friend. I also live a pretty boring life so this has been great conversation piece with co-workers and family. The extra hundred dollars was worth it. Go for the oil change, reunite with friends, and leave with great party conversations.
I have been using this dealership for more than six years,I have bought two cars from them and nicely have been giving me excellent service. During service time all staff are pretty good especially, Jasmine wang she’s really diligent and helpful always with full energy, coming with solutions and born with it .
Stay Away from Kingscross Hyundai – Especially Kenji Wong I had a terrible experience with Kingscross Hyundai’s service department. After a diagnostic, Kenji Wong called to say they found nothing wrong—but wanted two more hours of diagnostics at my expense to maybe figure it out. When I questioned this, he became incredibly rude, even saying “you’re just blah blah blahing” on the phone. No empathy, no help—just condescension. I escalated to the manager and offered a recording of the call. He refused to listen or address Kenji’s behaviour. That told me all I needed to know. I took the car to a real mechanic. In 30 minutes, they correctly diagnosed the issue: a simple calibration error after a battery change. It was fixed in under two hours for a fraction of the price. No "faulty wiring" as Kenji had claimed. So either this dealership is incompetent, or they’re trying to scam customers. Either way, do yourself a favour—take your vehicle somewhere else.
