I run an a event company. I went in to check out the stock, owner treated me like criminal like I was trying to steal something. Wouldn't help me at all. This is not the way to run any business, especially a hospitality business.
The reviews others have posted online must be fake. I tried making a rental from GNS and was given the runaround every single time. very poor customer service. Their website is very misleading and is not 100% correct please avoid to avoid disappointment.
My wife & I have been using GNS Party Rentals for years, for birthday celebrations, Christmas parties, etc. Their customer service is on point as is their rental fees.
The “uncle” of the owner is by far one of the rudest humans I have ever come across. I was yelled out, hung up on and flat out disregarded. If it wasn’t for the actually owner of the store I would report to the office of consumer affairs. Do NOT go here! Use another more customer service friendly place
So the product they gave was fine, but pick up was a mess. I rented a tug-of-war rope from them on Friday (which btw didn't even have flags on them which is necessary to play the game) for which they called to cancel my booking on Saturday (according to them anyways, though I never saw a call on my phone), but I still got it luckily cause someone cancelled their booking last minute. Sidenote, if I make a booking beforehand, I shouldn't be worried about a call 2 days prior saying the item is not available. Anyways, I was supposed to use it until late on Saturday and drop it off on Sunday. The problem is they only gave me a 3 hour window for drop off, which was from 10am to 1pm. Since I had work at 10am which was on the other side of the city, I asked to drop it off earlier, and they would not budge. They insisted that they only open at 10am and there is no drop off spot. I told them I have work at 10, and they were just like maybe show up around 9:30 and maybe someone would be there but it's still my responsibility to give it to someone. Like seriously, you don't have a place I can drop if a rope!? Surprise, surprise, I show up at 9:30 and and no one is there. I even called them before leaving my house in the morning and after insisting I need to be at work at 10am, they are like drop it off in the back of the building by the loading dock. That ended up being super questionable and I couldn't even tell which dock was theres and which belonged to other stores (wasn't going to risk my $200 deposit by doing that). I mean come on, you guys have been in business for 20 years and couldn't arrange a drop off spot? And even when the guy came at 9:55, he's like we open at 10, give me 5 minutes to go inside and do stuff. Like what!? I'm dropping off a rope, just take it! So I ended up being late for work, had to deal with my boss and lost half an hour of wages just cause of this rope that couldn't be dropped anywhere. Nice job guys
Dropped in a few times for some last minute items we needed for events and was so happy with the customer service we received. Really helpful and welcoming! Not to mention the adorable dog they have behind the desk who is also super friendly!
